How Love Calculator Works — The Secret Formula
Our love calculator turns two names into a love percentage using a deterministic formula — not random numbers. Each letter in your names is converted to its character code, summed together, and reduced to a score between 0-100. That means the same two names will always produce the same love percentage, no matter how many times you check or who checks it — so you can safely share your result and your friends can verify it themselves.
On top of the base score, we add a small compatibility bonus for every letter your names have in common — the theory being that shared letters mean shared sounds, and shared sounds are (playfully) a sign of chemistry. The result is a score that feels different for every name pair, while staying fair, fast, and 100% private — everything runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded anywhere.
What is the FLAMES Game?
FLAMES is the classic pen-and-paper game every Indian school kid has played at least once. Take two names, cross out the letters they have in common, count what's left, and use that count to eliminate letters from F-L-A-M-E-S one by one until only one remains:
